Easy Setup
Getting started with Webydo takes all of about 3 minutes. The signup process is just entering your name, email, and a password. In seconds you’re ready to start designing. You can go three routes: creating your own design, or modifying a given website design, or starting from a blank canvas. I started with a given website design, just so I could see what the templates look like.
I thought the one above was the most interesting. Being skeptical of how easy this would be, I didn’t even look at the instructional video. I just dove right in. Surprisingly, the Webydo interface is easy to understand, intuitive, and lightning fast. I was amazed at how easy it was to edit an existing template. As you can see from the image above, you can tell how many pixels wide and high your site is. This is just like working in Photoshop. It makes it easy to design your site visually.
Easy to Use
Webydo has dozens of menus, so you can have total control over every aspect of your site. Control the overall site size, its alignment, and even plug in a favicon. You can set a solid color background, or an image. You can even set a myriad of color presets for your site’s color palette.
Webydo makes it easy to edit a site’s headers, text or images. All you have to do is double click a line or block of text and start typing. To edit an image, it is as simple as clicking on the image and choosing “change” and navigating to the desired image. You can resize images with handles, so it will look just how you want it to.
Webydo has control panels on the right side of their interface where you can control various aspects of your content. You can add things like strokes and shadows in seconds. For headers, you can add animation effects. What I love about their interface is the speed. Nothing takes more than a second or two. You click an element, and you can drag and drop it wherever. You can even use the arrow keys on your keyboard to move things more precisely.
I wanted one more image and header on the left side, so I right-clicked on an existing one, and found editing options. One of them was duplicate, and I clicked it and dragged the new section into place easily.
Forms
Creating forms is easy. Just click the forms button in the top bar, and select which field type you need. The, in the right panels, you can determine your menu items, their size, fonts, etc. This makes it so easy to create your own custom forms in seconds.
Galleries
Adding a sliding image gallery to your site takes seconds. You click on gallery in the top menu bar and upload your images. Then, using a drag and drop interface, you can sort the order of images.
Easily Add More Pages
You can edit other pages besides the home page by clicking the + symbol next to the home page and choosing a page from the list that you would like to change. It opens up in a new tab and you edit that page just like any other. Simply hit save and Publish and your site is up in seconds. You can set your site up on your own domain.
Make Webydo Your Own
Webydo makes it easy to build sites for clients. This gets regular designers into designing websites without having to know code. This is great for designers that want to focus on creativity without having to learn web development.
