In this day and age, customer service seems like a rarity, but I had an experience this past week with the Apple Store that really made me a loyal customer for life. I was filled with excitement 2 weekends ago, because I was inĀ a position where it was time to upgrade to the newest 15″ Macbook Pro. The accelerated graphics and the raw power of the machine would allow me to do some things with 3D that my older Intel Macbook just wouldn’t do. My Take on Steve Jobs and Flash
I am sure that everyone has heard the buzz going on around the internet with Steve Jobs not supporting Flash on Apple devices. I have gotten dozens of emails asking my take on this issue, which I will address.
While I am not an avid animator, I certainly understand where Steve Jobs is coming from. I read his statement regard Flash, compatibility, and his reasons for not implementing Flash on mobile devices. They are all true and relevant. Jobs mentions the fact that Flash requires third party software just to run in your browser, when you can use more standards compliantĀ methods to display video with no extra programs needed.
